Hellenic Wings, An Illustrated History of the H.A.F. and precursors

This book presents a concise history of the Hellenic Air Force, covering the first half of the century. It describes the first attempts of Greek pioneers in 1908, the birth of the Air Arm (military and naval), the Balkan Wars (1912), the World War I, the expedition in Asia Minor, the period between the two World Wars with the creation of a unified Air Force. The World War II, fighiting against Italians, the resistance against Germans and the Middle East - Mediterranean operations till 1944. The book is an excellent demonstration of the HAF'S struggle and sacrifices during difficult times.
