Archangel Airshow 2005

Introduction

THE FIRST EVER HELLENIC AIR SHOW IS ON ITS WAY

Hellenic Air Force is organising an international Air Show, named “Archangel” 2005 at Tanagra Air Base (114 Combat Wing). The event has been scheduled to start on Friday September 16 and end on Sunday September 18, when an impressive air display will take place.

Combat aircraft, helicopters and various other weapon systems used by the Hellenic Air Force will be exhibited at the show. The public will have the opportunity to assess for the first time the operational capabilities of the Hellenic Air Force by witnessing simulated attacks and other operational flights, including those flying activities that are directly related to HAF's public contribution. Additionally, Hellenic training aircraft T-6, is expected to perform aerobatic manoeuvres.

A large number of allied or friendly nations and companies have been invited to participate in static and flying displays, and the majority of them have already replied positively. Their presence gives the show an international nature and the chance to the public to view various high-tech aircrafts and staggering aerobatics performed by renowned aerobatic teams.

At the same period, the local communities will have the opportunity to meet our personnel as all the Hellenic Air Force bases will be open to the public.

Useful information and regular updates regarding “Archangel” will be appearing on the website in due time.
