Archangel Airshow 2005 -General Guidelines

The following guidelines aim to safeguard your safe and pleasant stay at the Air Show. Visitors are kindly requested to read and take notice.

NOTE: Visitors are kindly requested to have with them their passport or identification card or driving license for identification purposes.

Use of Cameras

The use of all kinds of cameras (photographic, video and mobile phone cameras) is allowed only during the show dates and hours (16-18 September from 08:00 to 18:00). However, visitors need to take notice of the following:

  • The public visiting Tanagra Air Base is allowed to photograph the aircraft participating in the static and flying displays.
  • Viewers of the show located outside Tanagra Air Base can photograph airplanes in flight which will take part in the flying display.
  • Taking photographs of the Air Base premises is strictly forbidden.

Prohibited Items

All hand luggage will be checked to ensure that dangerous items are kept out of the Air Show. To avoid delays and trouble, visitors are not allowed to have any of the following during their stay at the Air Show:

  • Big size hand luggage and backpacks since they take a lot of time to check.
  • Any kind of guns, including flares, knives, replica guns and generally any sharp items.
  • Radio transmitters.
  • Alcohol beverages.
  • Pets.
  • Bicycles, roller skates, scooters, etc.

Permitted Items

Visitors at the Air Show are allowed to bring the following items with them:

  • Small sized hand luggage.
  • Photographic and video cameras.
  • Mobile phones and radios.
  • Infant and disabled vehicles.
  • Small chairs for personal use.
  • Personal belongings which are not mentioned in the prohibited items list.

Smoking

Hellenic Air Force in order to meet the Greek legislation and the international safety guidelines applied to Air Shows informs the public that smoking:

  • Is not permitted at the static display special areas (taxiways, aircraft parking areas).
  • Is allowed only at Appointed areas.

Useful Tips for Enjoying the Airshow

The following tips will make the public's stay at the show pleasant and comfortable.

  • Don't forget to bring with you official documents (either driver's license or passport or ID card) to allow for possible identification check
  • Wear sunscreen and sunglasses, take a hat, wear comfortable shoes.
  • Check the local weather forecast.
  • Come early at the show for static photos.
  • Leave unnecessary gear at home.
  • Pick up your litter.
