Hellenic Air Force Annual Celebration 2008

The Hellenic Air Force, wishing to promote the aviation concept and attract the interest of people in the Hellenic Air Force, organized an air show at Tanagra  Air Base from 12 to 14 September 2008 in celebration of its Patron Saint, Archangel Michael.

The spectators were given the opportunity to get to know the assets, the personnel and the capabilities of the Hellenic Air Force close at hand in their natural environment. The spectators were able to admire aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force and other Services of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces, demonstrating their operational capabilities. They also had the opportunity to admire aircraft of other countries in static display.

Within the framework of the celebration, on the 8th till 11th of November 2008, the Hellenic Air Force is opening its Air Bases to the public, with static displays of aircrafts and weapon systems.
