Taylorcraft Auster A.O.P Mk III

The presence of the first 5 Taylorcraft Auster A.O.P Mk III in the Greek Air Force is noted in April, 1945. At least 23 airplanes were delivered through British aid program. It was a light, 2-seater, British construction airplane.

After the crew training in army cooperation tactics, the Auster make their appearance over the battle field in April, 1947. They were also used as medical transport and liaison airplanes. At least one of them was enlisted in Anti-malarial Squadron.
