132 Combat Group

Mission

The Group mission is to maintain efficiency and readiness to a high standard with the appropriate organization, personnel training, and maintenance of the assets and systems provided for or redeployed in order to assume and successfully carry out Air Operations whenever required.

Organization

The unit is organized according to the typical Combat Group organization.

History

1961-64	The Agrinion airport was constructed in 1961 by NATO expenses and with the perspective to service an Aircraft Fighter Squadron. In 1964 the basic infrastacture works ended.
1964-75	The unit operates as air detachment.
1973-74	The airport was used by the Military Air Academy
1975	It was renamed to 132 Combat Group and came under the Hellenic Tactical Air force Headquarters.
1985	Construction of administrative buildings
2005	Construction of new building installations
