On Friday, 27th April 2012, and at 23:05, a Super Puma helicopter of the HAF, took off from 112 CW/Elefsina Air Base to evacuate a 65-year-old US injured man from ‘Marina’ Passenger Ship, registered in Marshall Islands, which was 50 nautical miles North of the City of Chania – Crete.
The helicopter safely transferred the 65-year-old injured man along with his wife to 115 CW/ Souda Air Base, on 28th April 2012 at 01:12.
