On Sunday, June 24th, 2012 at Prinos Community on Thasos island took place the World War I Fallen Aviators’ Monument unveiling, by the Chief of the Hellenic Tactical Air Force HQ, Lieutenant General (AF) Fotios Krevaikas.
After the ceremony the professor of Aviation History of the Hellenic Air Force Academy Mr. Konstantinos Lagos, the Historical Researcher, Mr. Paschalis Palavouzis and Colonel (ret.) Panagiotis Georgiadis addressed the participants on the historical events of the period at “Kalogeriko” building, at Thasos island port.
