On Sunday, June 26th 2016, at 11:09 am, a Canadair CL-215 aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF), which operated from 111 Combat Wing / Nea Anchialos Air Base, participating in a firefighting mission in the NW Attica region, performed an emergency landing.
The aircraft crew is in good health and has been moved to 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital for precautionary reasons.
An investigation committee, formed by HAF experts, has been established in order to investigate the circumstances and causes of the accident.
