HAFGS Chief Participation in the NATO Air Chiefs Symposium

From Friday 16 to Saturday September 24, 2016, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS) Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis participated in the NATO Air Chiefs Symposium – NACS, held in Ramstein, Germany and in the United States of America (USA).

The aim of the symposium was the reinforcement of relations of NATO Air Forces and the mutual understanding of common issues and challenges they face.

In that context, the Chief held private meetings with the Secretary of the Air Force of the United States, Mr. Deborah Lee James, the Chief of General Staff of the US Air Force, Lieutenant General Dave Goldfein, with the Commander of the Administration of US Air Forces in Europe and Africa [ (USAFE) – (AFAFRICA)] and Commander of Allied Air NATO Forces, Lieutenant General Tod D. Wolters, as well as with the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander in Europe (SACEUR ), Lieutenant General Philip M. Breedlove, where they discussed  issues of interest to the Hellenic Air Force.
