From Thursday the 1st to Sunday the 4th of September 2016, The Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS) Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis, visited the Russian Federation following a formal invitation from the organizer of the «Spasskaya Tower 2016» festival, in the context of the Greece Russia Year 2016.
During his visit, he met the Commander of Kremlin in Moscow Lieutenant General Sergey Khlebnikov, and the Chief Executive of the Russian Defence Export State Company «ROSOBORONEXPORT» Mr. Anatoliy Isaykin, with whom he discussed topics of general interest, the Bandmaster Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov and the Director of the festival Mr. Sergey Smirnov, and also the ambassador of Greece in Moscow Mr. Andreas Friganas.
In addition, he attended part of the festival «Spasskaya Tower 2016» in which the Band of the Hellenic Air Force along with members of the band of the Hellenic Navy participated.
