On Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 a Super Puma helicopter of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF), took off from Chios in order to execute a Rescue operation in Skopelo for civilians that were blocked due to weather conditions.
The crew of the helicopter tracked two people, a man and a woman, which were rescued and transferred at the port of Skopelos. Later, at the same area, a four member family was tracked that also was transferred at the port of the island.
