On Thursday, January 26th 2017 the former Chief of the Tactical Air Force (TAF) Lt. General (I) Christos Christodoulou transferred his authority to Lt. General (I) Georgios Blioumis at a ceremony held at the 110 Combat Wing/Air Force Base of Larisa.
Amongst those present during the ceremony, were the Minister of Defense, Mr. Panos Kammenos, the Deputy Minister of Agricultural Development and Food, Mr. Vasilios Kokkalis, regional leader of Thessaly, Mr. Konstantinos Agorastos, the bishop of Larisa and Tyrnavos Mr. Ignantios, the bishop of Elassonas, Mr. Chariton, the Chief of the National Defense General Staff (NDGS), Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, the Chief of the Hellenic Army, Lt. General Alkiviadis Stefanis, the commander or the Hellenic First Army, Lt. General Dimokritos Zervakis, high-ranking officials of the Hellenic Air Force, the commanders of all Tactical Air Force bases, official delegates from the Hellenic Armed and Security Forces, honorary Chiefs from the NDGS, HAFGS, TAF, representatives from Veterans Associations, staff of the HAF and religious and local leaders.
