339 Squadron Participates in “VEGA 2017” Exercise

From Monday, October 16, to Friday, October 27, 2017, 339 Squadron participated in “Vega 2017” exercise with four (4) F-4 AUP aircraft and trained personnel.

“Vega 2017” exercise is created by the Italian Air Force and it is associated with “MARE APERTO 2-17” the main Italian navy exercise and the Italian Ministry of Defense exercise “JOINT STARS 17.” It was also combined with the NATO cyber-war exercise, “RAMSTEIN GUARD.”

The exercise took place in a wide geographical area including Sicily and Sardinia, covering the whole spectrum of operational training, while giving the participants the chance to practice big formations in a realistic, complex, and interdisciplinary environment.
