Hellenic Air Force’s Patron Saint Celebration 2017
During the Hellenic Air Force’s Patron Saint celebration, on Saturday the 4th until Wednesday the 8th of November 2016, the following activities are scheduled to take place:
- Static and photographic exhibitions of Military Aircrafts and vehicles in all HAF Units
- Activities driven by Aero Clubs and Aero Sports Unions on Air Bases
- Aircraft flights over remote regions
- Educational visits by high school students at HAF Units
Sunday, November 5th, 2017
- 11:00: Tribute at the Memorial of Fallen Aviators, located at the HAF Base in Dekeleia, Tatoi.
- 12:00: Air demonstration by HAF officials with F-16 “Zeus” and T-6A “Daedalus” in Skyros and Zakynthos islands.
Monday November 6th, 2017
- 9:00: Tribute at the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier by the Chief of the HAFGS, Lt. General (I) Christos Christodoulou.
Tuesday November 7th, 2017
- 19:00: Musical event by the HAF Band, which celebrates 70 years of operation, at the “Stavros Niarchos Foundation.”
Wednesday November 8th, 2017
- 09:30: Doxology Ceremony at Dekeleia Air Base, Tatoi
HAF Bases and Units will be open to the public on the following days and hours:
- On Saturday the 4th, Sunday the 5th, Monday the 6th, and Tuesday the 7th of November, 2017 from 09:00 to 17:00
- On Wednesday November 8th, 2017 from 13:00 to 17:00
* All demonstrations times may be subject to change or even cancellation due to weather conditions.
