In the context of a decision by the UN Security Council, it was decided that a force of 106 officers would be deployed from the three HL Divisions under the HELLASOM name. The mission of the Greek Force in Somalia was to provide medical assistance,and limited technical support for reconstruction, while attempting to rebuild and reopen the Wagiit hospital. Completion of the Mission March 3, 1994.
