«Iniochos 2018» Exercise
On Tuesday March 20th 2018, within the framework of the multinational Aviation exercise «INIOCHOS 2018», the briefing-presentation of the exercise took place, in the maintenance squadron hangar of the 117th combat wing, at Andravida Air Base, with representatives of Greek and international media.
The briefing was attended by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Panos Kammenos, the chief of General Staff of the National Defense, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, his Excellency Mr Kuriakos Kenevezos , Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens, his Excellency, Mr. Irit Ben-Abba, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Athens, his Exellency Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Athens, his Excellency Mr. Geoffrey R. Pyatt Ambassador of the United States of America to Athens, his Excellency Mr. Farid Monib Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Athens, her Excellency Mrs. Kate Smith Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Athens, his Excellency Mr. Mohamed Meer Abdalla Yousif Alraeesi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Athens, the Chief of the Hellenic Army, Lieutenant General Alciviades Stephanis, Chief of General Staff on the Hellenic Navy, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis, Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General Christos Christodoulou, Chief of the Hellenic Tactical Air Force, Lieutenant General George Blioumis and Supreme Officers of the Armed Forces, as well as Defense Attachés from Allied countries.
After the end of the briefing, the Minister of National Defense awarded Captain (P) Vassilios Kalogeridis, leader of the 335 Squadron as well as the 335 Squadron which came first in the 1st/2018 Tactical Leadership Program.
