Ceremony for the Transfer of Duties of Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff
On Friday, February 1st 2019, at the Air Force Academy of the Dekeleia Air Base at Tatoi, in the presence of the Minister of National Defense Evangelos Apostolakis, the ceremony for the transfer of the duties of Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff from General Christos Christodoulou to Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis took place.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Panagiotis Rigas, members of parliament, the Honorable Metropolitan of Ilion-Acharnes and Petroupoli, Athinagoras, the Chiefs of the Armed Forces and Hellenic Coast Guard, representatives of the Chiefs of the Hellenic Police and the Fire Department, Special Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Kalliopi Papaleonida, senior officers of the Hellenic Air Force, delegations of officers and noncommissioned officers of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, the distinguished Chiefs of the National Defense General Staff, Hellenic Air Force General Staff and Tactical Air Force General Staff, delegations of unions of retired military personnel, Air Force personnel and foreign delegations.
