On Thursday 4th of July 2024, the swearing-in ceremony of the 5th Series new Sergeants of the Hellenic Air Force NCO Academy took place at Dekelia Air Base.
The graduation degrees were presented by the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Lieutenant General (P) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, representing the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis.
The ceremony was attended by the Inspector General of the HAFGS, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Kleniatis, the Commander of the Hellenic Air Training Command, Major General (P) Alexandros Komtoudis, Senior Air Force Officers, representatives of the Chiefs of the Armed Forces and Security Forces as well as the General Staff of the National Guard, His Eminence Archimandrite Ioannis Raptis, as representative of His Eminence Bishop of Ilion, Acharnon and Petroupolis, the Commanders of the Units of Dekelia Air Base, delegations of Officers of the Armed Forces, Retired Officers’ Associations and relatives of the new Sergeants.
A total of 188 Sergeants were sworn in, 171 from Greece and 17 from Cyprus.
