On Friday, September 13, 2024, the graduation ceremony for the students of the “Link 22 Foundation Course” and the “SSSB Administrator – Operator Courses” was held at the Air Defense Staff Training Center (ADSTC), at Dekelia Air Base.
The diplomas were awarded to the graduates by the NCI Agency instructors, Mr. Nikolaos Siois, Mr. Antonio Ferraro and Mr. Sadik Akbultu, in the presence of Brigadier General (P) Konstantinos Karavlidis, Director of the Hellenic Air Training Command’s B΄ Branch (Staff – Training).
The participants included personel from NATO member states such as Greece, France, Norway, Poland, Roumania and Netherlands.
The objective of the “SSSB Administrator – Operator” courses is to provide training on the management and operational procedures of the system SSSB, which aims to facilitate the exchange of tactical data and picture with surface combat units.
The purpose of the “Link-22” course is to provide training for NATO Tactical Data Link-22.Link-22 is a secure beyond-line-of-sight communication capability that increases joint and coalition communications in the surface, sub-surface, land, and air domains by providing unprecedented situational awareness across the battle space.
