On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the annual European Air Chiefs’ Conference (EURAC) concluded, marking the first time it was held in Greece.
The main theme of the Conference was “Navigating Air Power through Entropy and Chaos”, highlighting the current shifting, unstable, and disordered geopolitical environment. In this context, the leadership of the participating Air Forces is called to plan and act in operations, logistics and support, as well as in the organization, training, and staffing of their respective Air Forces.
The Conference was attended by the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, the Commander of Allied Air Command, General James B. Hecker and the Air Chiefs of Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
On the sidelines of the Conference, the Chief of the HAFGS had the opportunity to hold informal discussions with the Air Chiefs of the allied Nations. During these discussions, topics of mutual operational interest and possibilities for joint training were analyzed.
