On Friday, October 11, 2024, the Distinguished Visitors Day (DV DAY) of the “Ramstein Flag 2024” Exercise was held at the Andravida Air Base.
Addresses were delivered by the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikos Dendias, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, and the Commander of Allied Air Command, General James B. Hecker.
During the DV-DAY, the guests were briefed on the conduct of the exercise, toured its facilities (ATC, WHITE CELL, and Synthetic Training Squadron) and observed aircraft formation flyovers from the Participating Forces.
The DV DAY was attended by:
- The Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikos Dendias
- The Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis
- The Ambassadors to Greece of Belgium, France, Hungary, and Portugal, as well as representatives of the Ambassadors of the USA and Romania
- The Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, and the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras, HN
- The Chiefs of the Air Forces from Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden
- The Chief of Tactical Air Force, Lieutenant General Panagiotis Georgakopoulos, Senior Officers of the Armed Forces, as well as Defense Attachés in Athens from France, Italy, Poland, Spain the United Kingdom and the USA.
