Participation of the Hellenic Air Force in Exercise “Spears of Victory 25”

From Sunday, January 26, to Friday, February 6, 2025, the Hellenic Air Force participated in the multinational medium-scale air exercise “Spears of Victory 25” with 4 F-16 Block 50 aircraft and personnel from the 341 Squadron of the 111 Combat Wing. The personnel and equipment were transported via 1 C-130 and 1 C-27J aircraft and redeployed to King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

During the exercise, missions covering the full spectrum of air operations were conducted, both day and night, in an environment simulating modern threat scenarios. The objective was to enhance the level of cooperation and interoperability among the participating forces.

The exercise was planned and coordinated by the Air War Center of the Royal Saudi Air Force and was conducted as a LIVEX (Live Exercise). Besides Greece, the participating nations included Saudi Arabia, deploying F-15, EF-2000, and Tornado aircraft, Bahrain with F-16, France with Rafale, Pakistan with JF-17, Qatar with EF-2000, the United Arab Emirates with Mirage 2000-5, the United Kingdom with EF-2000 and the United States of America with F-16. Additionally, Australia, Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Morocco, and Spain took part as observers.
