Exercise “Iniochos 2025”

On Monday, March 31, 2025, the multinational air exercise “Iniochos 2025” commenced and is scheduled to conclude on Friday, April 11, 2025.

The primary hosting unit for the exercise is Andravida Air Base, from which all fighter aircraft of the foreign contingents will operate. Meanwhile, the majority of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) fighter jets will be operating from the 116th Combat Wing.

The Hellenic Air Tactics Center is responsible for overseeing the missions, from scenario planning to debriefing and extracting conclusions.

During “Iniochos 2025,” all types of air operations will be executed at an intense combat pace, both day and night, covering the full spectrum of modern air warfare through a series of complex and highly realistic scenarios. Simultaneously, missions will be carried out using the Tactical Simulators of the F-16 aircraft of the Operational Synthetic Training Squadron of the Hellenic Air Tactics Center, extending the exercise into the digital domain.

The Hellenic Air Force participates with all types of its fighter aircraft, as well as helicopters, transport, and training aircraft. Additionally, forces from the Hellenic Army and Navy contribute significantly to creating complex and realistic scenarios across the entire Greek territory.

Furthermore, a large number of air forces from allied and partner nations are participating, including:

  • Italy with Tornado
  • Montenegro with B-412
  • Poland with F-16
  • Qatar with F-15
  • Slovenia with 2 PC-9
  • Spain with F-18
  • UAE with Μ-2000/9
  • USA with F-16, KC-46 and KC-135

Additionally, Cyprus is contributing with support personnel, while Slovakia and Bahrain have sent observer teams.
