HAF’s Participation in Exercise “NEPTUNE STRIKE 25-2”

From Thursday, July 24 to Monday, July 28, 2025, the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) participated in the exercise “NEPTUNE STRIKE 25-2,” conducted across the broader regions of the Balkans, the Adriatic and the Baltic Sea, under the command and control of NATO’s Naval Striking and Support Forces (STRIKFORNATO).

The HAF took part with F-16 aircraft from the 335 Sqn and 336 Sqn of 116 Combat Wing (CW), the 340 Sqn of 115 CW, and the 341 Sqn of 111 CW. In addition to Greece, participating forces included units from France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Finland.

During its participation in the exercise, the HAF carried out carried out missions including Air Defence Exercise, Close Air Support, Defensive Counter Air, Combat Search and Rescue Exercise, Long-Range Missile System and Long-Range Aviation Intercept.

The participation of the HAF contributed to enhancing operational readiness, interoperability, and combat effectiveness, while further upgrading military cooperation at the Allied level.
