Description
The AW-109 TREKKER is a multi-purpose helicopter designed and produced by the Italian rotorcraft manufacturer LEONARDO and it is being used from many of countries.
The Hellenic Air Force is operating with 2 of them, donated by Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), to the National Emergency Aid Centre. These aircraft have MEDICAL cabin configuration and they have the ability to operate day and night, in order to be able to air transport patients from the 112 Combat Wing, at Elefsina Air Base.
The AW-109 TREKKER is the first helicopter with FMS and Glass Cockpit configuration.
