Mission

The Hellenic Air Force Band provides musical support to various events of military, social, cultural, religious, and recreational nature.

History

Μπάντα ΠΑ

The Hellenic Air Force (HAF) Band was founded in 1947, consisting of a staff of forty (40) people, commanded by Lieutenant Nicolas Raftopoulos.

In 1953 the HAF Band began to flank with permanent staff.

The Band consists of forty-two (42) persons (3 Officers and 39 Non-Officers) and the Light Orchestra consists of seven (7) Noncommissioned Officers. The commander of the HAF Band is Major Alexandros Litsaropoulos.

The HAF Band participates in national, local and religious celebrations, and cultural events throughout the country. It has also represented the Hellenic Air Force at International Military Music Festivals. (Albania, Belgium, France, USA, Italy, Korea, Malta, Ukraine, Romania and Russia).

The Light Orchestra has a varied musical program and is available to meet the needs of various events, cultural and social events
