Greece acquired 8 Ansaldo A1 which were confiscated after an Italian ship bound to Turkey was stopped and searched by a greek cruiser. Lacking appropriate training and maintenance manuals, they never achieved operational readiness. They were used as trainers operating from Tatoi airfield until 1923.
