In 1969, Hellenic Air Force received 50 type Nord 2501D Noratlas aircraft as West German assistance, while six more were acquired later on. The Noratlas equipped the 354 Tactical Transport Squadron, serving until 1985. The Nord 2501 operated in July 1974 in the enterprise “ΝΙΚΗ (Victory)” in Cyprus, successfully completing the mission assigned.
