Major General Dimitrios Fanaras

Major General Dimitrios Fanaras is the Director of C Branch (Support) of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS).

He is responsible for all matters concerning technical support of aircraft, weapon systems, infrastructure, communications and informatics, and also for logistics.

He was born in Thessaloniki.

Education

He joined the Hellenic Air Force Academy in  1985 and graduated in 1989 as a 2^nd Lieutenant.

He graduated from :

• Air War College/Junior Officers
• Flight Safety School

He holds:

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)
• Msc in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), USA
• Msc in Applied Physics, Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), USA.

He speaks English.
