The Unit is located Northwest of the Peloponese, at Achaias County. I is also located near the 116th Combat Wing and is about 40 km away from Patras.

Mission
The Hellenic Air Force Ground Transportation Vehicles & Aircraft Ground Equipment Depot’s mission is to perform depot level inspections, repairs and modifications of ground transportation vehicles Ground Support Equipment (GSE), manufacture of components – systems for HAF end items and to provide joint technical support to the Hellenic Armed Forces and to third parties.
In this context, maintenance (inspections, repairs and overhauls) is carried out to vehicles and engines, aircraft ground support equipment and components, air defence fire arms, and pilot life support equipment (PLSE). Surface and heat treatments on special materials and parts are carried out, and there is additional capability to design, manufacture and implement new parts, assemblies and engineering solutions to conduct it’s mission.
History
The Hellenic Air Force Ground Transportation Vehicles & Aircraft Ground Equipment Depot was established on the 8th of July 1981 as an Air Detachment Unit “KEA Araxos”.
In 1984, it was founded as an independent HAF Unit (203KEA) and later in 1987, it was renamed under the current title.
