The Center for Aviation Medicine is located within the camp of the 251 Air Force General Hospital.

Subordination
The Center for Aviation Medicine is an independent Unit, equivalent to a Group and is directly subordinate to the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff. The 251 Air Force General Hospital supports the Center for Aviation Medicine in finance, logistics and maintenance.
Mission
The Aviation Center’s mission is:
- Initial and Periodic Health Examination of the Air Force, Security Forces and Civil Aviation Personnel.
- Training in Aviation Medicine, Aviation Nursing, Aeromedical Evacuation Course and Flight Physiology.
- Health Examination Flying Air Force personnel and candidates for Military Academies.
- Preparation of research papers on Aviation Medicine.
