Mission
Flight Training Squadron’s mission is to provide advanced training and operational utilization of the newly placed Hellenic Air Force’s F-16 Block 52+ pilots, initial theoretical and practical training to the Unit’s Technical Staff, as well as other specialties’ training at Unit’s Air Defense weapon systems.
History
In January 2012, Flight Training Squadron was established and operated for one (1) year, in the frame of staff’s and means’ best utilization, in order to become a remodel for the rest Combat Wings.
Since 2013, the Flight Training Squadron is fully operational and consists of the Training Flock and Weapon Systems and Ground Equipment School of F-16 Block 52+ aircraft unification, which were operational since 2003 and were providing training to this specific aircraft type pilots.
