Mission

The 4th Control and Report Post’s mission is to maintain a high level of effectiveness and readiness, through the proper organization of its staff and the maintenance of its assets of the systems that are at its disposal, in order to contribute at the implementation of Air Control Centre (ACC) – Recognized Picture Production Centre (RPC) – Sensor Fusion Post (SFP) mission, according to the responsibilities assigned.

History

The Unit was established in 1966 and started being operational in the beginning of 1967, named as Squadron of Region Control Center having as a code name «ΚΑΣΤΩΡ».

In 1976 a Manual Repost Post (MRP) was installed for the semi automatic import and transmission of revealed plots in NADGE system through 3rd Squadron of Main Station Control (SMSC) located in Parnitha.

Since January 1981 the Unit was renamed 4th CRP.

In August 2003 the placement projects of 3D RADAR were completed.
