Mission

The 7th Control and Report Post’s mission is to maintain a high level of effectiveness and readiness, through the proper organization of its staff and the maintenance of its assets of the systems that are at its disposal, in order to contribute at the implementation of Air Control Centre (ACC) – Recognized Picture Production Centre (RPC) – Sensor Fusion Post (SFP) mission, according to the responsibilities assigned.

History

In 1966, the Skiros Aeronautics Contingent was constituted and was equipped with research RADAR TPS-1E and TPS-10D height RADAR.

In 1972, RADARs were replaced by the 3D RADAR TPS-43A.

In 1975 the Unit was renamed as Skiros 7th Station.

In 1982 it was renamed as 7th Control and Report Post.

In 1999 the old RADAR was replaced by the new AR-327 RADAR.

In 2000 the 7th Control and Report Post started its operational function using the new RADAR, which is still operational.
