Οn June 9th 2008 the basketball team of Hellenic Air Force Academy attended the EUAFA 2008 basketball championship held in Spain by the Spanish Academy. The Hellenic team gained the gold medal by winning with two victories the Turkish team by 74-60 and the Spanish by 66-63 in the final.
HAFA cadets stayed in San Javier, in the campus of Spanish air force Academy and besides the games, got the chance for a cultural visit to Murcia and Alicante gaining wonderful experiences by meeting the Spanish culture.
