On Friday 2nd December 2016, the anniversary event of the 50-years establishment of 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital (HAFGH) took place in the amphitheater of the Hospital. The President of Democracy, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, honored the event.
At the event were present MP Ioannis Dedes, on behalf of the President of Parliament, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis HN, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis, the Chief of the Fire Brigade, Lieutenant General Vasilios Kapelios, honorary Chiefs of HNDGS and HAFGS as well as former Commanders of the Hospital.
Τhe welcome speech of the Chief of HAFGS, was followed by other speakers, among them, the Director of the HAFGS Medical Directorate, Major General Georgios Toloumis, the Commander of the 251 HAFGH, Brigadier General Dimitrios Hatzigeorgiou, the emeritus professor of Medical School of University of Thessaly, Mr Georgios Antonopoulos and the professor, architect mechanic, Ms Lina Dima.
The event included a movie projection presenting a chronology through narrations, photographs and video archives, as well as a music program transacted by the composer Georgio Hatzinasio.
