On Monday, July 3, 2017, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Lieutenant General Christos Christodoulou, visited the 112 Combat Wing at the Elefsina Air Base, where he was welcomed by the Commander of the Hellenic Air Force Support Command (HAFSC), Themistoklis Bourolias, and the 112CW commander, Colonel (P) Kiriakos Panagiotopoulos.
The HAFGS Chief was informed about the running firefighting missions and talked with the 355 Squadron’s flying and technical staff. Also, he did not fail to mention the critical character of missions relevant to firefighting as well as the need for constant vigilance in order for the firefighting air-fleet to be available in case of need.
