The F-84G is the first jet fighter acquired the by the Hellenic Air Force. It was commissioned from 1952 until 1959, equipping a total of 6 squadrons, namely the 335, 336, 337, 338, 339 and 340. It was also used by the first Hellenic aerobatic flight, the “Kind of Aces”. Four F-84Gs were used for reconnaissance, by installing photo cameras on wingtip tanks.
